One of the subtler design elements of this set that helps it pop is the dotted line. Less intrusive than the older borders - allowing full bleed art - it still creates depth when figures are placed in front of/behind it.

025 - Cannonball
Great sense of movement & narrative and impressive use of coloring (everything is roughly in the same palette, but Sam still pops). Top notch.
Kudos also for the immortality reference, a then-topical development.

Gambit looks like he's nailing a power chord in the middle of an arena show.
This set also credits each artist, something I, someone who likes to credit artists but sucks at recognizing their styles, appreciates.

Generally I want to ding something like this for being too busy, but somehow, this works.
Given how big she was in the 80s, it's sad how much she disappeared around this time 'til becoming a weird Wasp creature.
