My Dramaland Darlings!
I need a quick pick-me-up of a genre that will have me giggling even though life is hard. Happy ending is a must. Action is fine. Romance, Found Family, and Great Friendships are highly desired.
What should I watch?

It's an awful choice. Viki subtitles are why I pay the money for a subscription. The volunteers do an amazing job of incorporating cultural context into the titles.
I think we should start a feedback campaign. Here's a link to the Viki ideas form (in English): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfuGBubZVC28EN2gJa58CCsBRbuRNDcPX8wjw919FVuukZy5w/viewform
If anyone else wants to contribute their "idea" to keep the volunteers and ditch the AI.

Since watching SPEC: Birth, I've found that there are a few films after the series.
Can I find them anywhere online to watch?
No, I can't.

I just finished watching SPEC: Birth.
That wasn't an ending!
There better be more of this somewhere else.

I hit the wall in my #cDrama #jDrama , #kDrama and #twDrama viewing last week, and running a query on my database I found out why. Even allowing for a dozen or so shorts, it turns out I watched 66 Dramas in 3 months. No wonder I'm ready to slow down and get back to #Reading and rewatching favourite #Hindi #films Only two 10s in my Dramas so far, and one of them was not even from this century!

Satomi Ishihara is such an amazing actress!
Another drama with her to watch and definitively she’s always so funny and hilarious. Every role she plays is enjoyable ! I love her natural acting !
Her movies and dramas need to be in my collection someday! -

After hitting a wall with my #cDrama #jDrama #kDrama PTW I realised I needed a break from the mental effort of relying on subs. So I've been catching up with my #Reading PTW
My lovely wife's suggestion we rewatch Lagaan nudged me to compile a rewatch list of films where at most subs augment or clarify my comprehension and that I could follow at least the gist of without subs at all if needed.
Lagaan
The Blues Brothers
Salaam-e-Ishq
Tere Ghar ke Samne
Jodhaa Akbar
Amar Akbar Anthony (the original, of course)
#film #Hindi
All are #musical but only one has a lead born with three thumbs: This one

2026 is half done, and I've watched 66 Dramas - #cDrama, #jDrama, #kDrama and #twDrama It's time for a break from reading subtitles and get back to just #Reading
The brand new integration between #Kobo and #TheStoryGraph is REALLY good and giving me the perfect excuse to tackle my TBR. Which has a certain theme at the moment. 🙂

I have a strict rule when rewatching #cDrama, #jDrama, #twDdrama etc. I never score a drama down on Rewatch. So if I rewatch a drama and find that I really like something that I didn't notice the first time, I will score it up but I will never score a drama down from its original score. This is working VERY MUCH in favour of #kDrama #DaliAndTheCockyPrince.
I've nearly finished ep 10 and I still have no clue how I gave it 9/10. I very much do not like the male lead character. For the first 7-8 episodes he's portrayed as barely sentient, so stupid that calling him dumber than a bag of brain damaged rocks is almost kind to him. Forget him being too stupid to plausibly run a business, he's too stupid to be plausibly able to run. He also comes across as not a very nice person. And the development of the romance between the leads from episode 8 on seems artificially forced and without credible foundation. I'm still watching only because I'm truly puzzled by why I scored it so highly.
