Le pressioni all'istupidimento, da parte di #Netflix, si notano un po' anche per le produzioni asiatiche, ma con effetti più sfumati.

Ci provo a guardare anche altro. Un'eccezione valida è sicuramente la mini-serie #Adolescence 🇬🇧, invece gli 🇺🇸 non producono più nulla di interessante ormai da anni.

Watched the first episode of #LastSamuraiStanding , didn't find it particularly interesting, neither the plot nor the fights managed to draw me in.

#JunichiOkada has aged well, he looks good with beard. The last #jdrama I watched with him in it was from the 2000s.

Am watching episode 4 of "Cherry Magic" which is a sweet Japanese BL drama, based on a manga 🌸 It uses the mind-reading trope to give access to the minds of the characters.

10Dance (テンダンス, 2025) movie.
That was an unexpected surprise for me. Not in terms of plot (since I read the manga) but in terms of how NOT bad it actually turned out. Clash of worlds and personalities was done well. The level of intensity was on point. The actors were well-matched. And the movie was actually very sensual. To the utmost degree.
One of the things that surprised me was how articulate characters were about dancing roles (aka personality specifics). Almost poetic. Which I guess is more of a nod to manga, since casual way of thinking might not reach that type of analysis and introspection.

I could guess the points people will ctitisize about this movie, but they didn't distract me personally from enjoying it.

P. S. I used to do ballroom dancing, Latin specifically, in my early teens. And I hated rumba with every fibre of my being. But I could watch these two men dance rumba all day long... :blobfoxaww:

Rewatching is quite delightful, but there are quite a lot of new and never-watched shows to occupy time.

End of the Year Drama Challenge
Day 1: Since when have you been watching dramas?

In autumn of 2022 (Yes, just over a year ago) a friend recommended "Extraordinary Attorney Woo." I loved it and started to watch more on Netflix.

I felt I might be spending too much time on dramas, but fortunately I discovered that many on NF had been dubbed into Portuguese & I am working on learning it. So now it was homework & completely justifiable.

In Dec, I gifted myself a subscription to Viki and found that many weren't dubbed in Portuguese, so then I had to learn Korean. I enrolled in my 1st Korean class in Jan. I have watched a couple of #cDrama shows & 1 #jDrama show, but I pretty much limit myself to #kDrama so that I can learn the language.
