Why does this happen at all? Our independent tracking-free email music newsletter on kliklak.net, running on Mailman, now gets boycotted by our own shared host (Grrrmph!) after almost 25 years of operation.
The shared host started using spam protection 3rd party providers, that don't allow for more than 100 emails being sent per hour. I don't even mind that limit, it would only mean, that our 1500 subscribers are getting their info in batches of 100.
Instead of sending in batches the provider drops all subscribers above 100 completely though, and even started mass-unsubscribing them. Any talks to the shared host support were unsuccesful. #encrappification going on.
Do not make a hosting account on hostforweb.net. The were great back then: ONLY.

Recorded in Kuhlhausen, Germany on the afternoon of August 18th under a very blue sky. Enjoy.

Hosted by jayrope – Xenakis' "Bohor" almost defines it's own genre. Some find it pure doom, for others it's a timeless work of colour. It seems futile to attempt contextualizing this work in order to shed a light on its ingredients, maybe, yet this was still tried in this broadcast. A hopeful attempt eventually, as any music next to any other define their own context in relation to each other quickly. And so some of the found context presented here probably really appears to be plunderphonically out of context. Enjoy.
