  1. Earheads Recs. #^https://mirlo.space/earheads is growing, 35 of 50++ releases now, and counting.

    Take a listen :) It's pretty diverse.
    For instance this: #^https://mirlo.space/vedette/release/i-slept-moments-for-you
    Your #boost is much appreciated.
    Follow @Earheads for more.

I just found, that it makes no sense to have all kinds of projects I am involved in splattered over 15+ Bandcamp profiles. And @mirlo.space is a very cool new music distribution.
    See here: #^https://mirlo.space/

The earhead - a head full of ears - was given to me as a gift by a sculpturer named Susanne in 1989. A birthday present. It still shows the way i am hearing :)

  3. A new version of #Impromptu, an iterative online journey planner that lets you create a public transport trip step by step, has been deployed at impromptu.partim.org/

This release shows more nearby stops in the “Walk” tab, allows you to switch between different types of services in the ”Departures” tab so you don’t have to wade through all the trams to find a train any more, and lists important intermediary stops on the departure board, giving you a better idea where a train is headed.

  7. New #Impromptu day!

The ”walk” tab now let’s you search for a station to walk to and the “wait” tab now actually exists. If real-time data is available, it is now shown.

  9. I was adding presentation of real-time information to #Impromptu and luckily tried this with an ICE that was cancelled half-way. Only noticed through the very strange delay numbers. Would have forgotten otherwise that this is actually a case to consider.

  11. It might be worthwhile pointing out that despite being a single page web app, #Impromptu behaves like you would expect from a web page. The back and forward buttons work as expected and you can middle or right click on all the active things to open them in a new tab or window. This became a lot easier with the new scheme – they are normal links with the new fragment reflecting the action – but this also already worked before.

  13. I’ve just release version 0.2.0 of #Impromptu, the incremental travel planner. This version changes how itineraries are kept. They are now encoded in the fragment portion of the URL rather than kept in local storage.

This means you can now just copy the URI, send it to someone, and they can paste into the location bar of their browser. As long as Transitous’ station and trip IDs are still the same, they will now see your itinerary.

There are also some minor improvements related to date and timezone changes.

  16. ”I’ll start the day by quickly adding a responsive design.”

“Right, done. Time to go home, I guess.”

Anyway: Release 0.1.1 of #Impromptu, the iterative travel planner, now also works on mobile and you can make the map smaller or bigger. Quite happy with the design of the divider, even.

  19. Mostly sysadmin work today, but I did manage to deploy a small fix to #Impromptu that makes it work in Poland.

Apparently I shouldn’t have URI-encoded stop IDs with non-ASCII characters. It still isn’t clear to me whether the browser does that transparently or whether we just ignore the restriction for URIs now.

  21. A very very early version of #Impromptu, the iterative travel planner, is now deployed at impromptu.partim.org.

Caveat 1: It really is very very early, so bear with me.
Caveat 2: It doesn’t work on small screens at all.
