They're like The Godfather, and The Godfather Part 2, in terms of my phenomenal, and much better, descriptions

Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse is now on Disney+!!
It's much better than the first of the trilogy, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, which is phenomenal.
If you enjoy art, animation, good storytelling, and all that makes moving pictures great, I strongly recommend you watch both of these movies.

It'a just ridiculous how much effort and detail went into "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish".
Kid is rewatching some scenes and is like "hey! I don't remember that frame being so cool!", literally going frame by frame, and some things happen in just two frames in a different drawing style. Each frame is a piece of art on its own.

After a remarkably crappy week, hanging with the family and watching #IntoTheSpiderverse

So #SpiderMan #AcrossTheSpiderVerse has 8131 seconds that the "Across The Spider-Verse frame every hour" bot would post.
If it was hourly, it would take *339* days to do them all.... which I mean... I'm game for.... but #IntoTheSpiderVerse only had 6513 screen grabs for a total of *271* days.
Bump it down to every 45 minutes and it'll take 254 days....
Decisions, decisions....

@waywardpythonttv You need to watch it. It's a beautiful piece of animation, and really captures the comicbook aesthetic. Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse is what really transferred the multiverse craze from comics to film and TV.

@waywardpythonttv Kind of makes me laugh how these introductions are like the 'let's do this one last time' intros in Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse. #SpiderMan #IntoTheSpiderverse

Continuing my reading of the #SpiderVerse #comics, I love seeing different and interesting spider people but the whole conceit of the cross dimensional, uber powerful vampires is not compelling. I’m gonna keep on reading for the next cool character to show up.
I also forgot how much I loathe gradient-based comic coloring.

Across the #SpiderVerse 2 is fully in the trend of mind-blowingly beautiful movies, with brutally disappointing storytelling. Why is that happening?
2 and a half hours of roller coaster. No time to breathe. Relationships of the characters get screamed out quickly:
"I love you!"
"Now I hate you!"
"Now I love you again."Development arcs go:
- Mentor gives advice
- Character follows advice
- Character victoriously explains this to mentor1/3

Catching up on the #SpiderVerse #comics so I could get to know the other spider-people (mostly #SpiderPunk & #PavitrPrabhakar) and the whole shebang is .. something. Spider peeps from all dimensions are hunted by these vampire-like beings who look like they stepped right out of Interview with the Vampire. It’s all weird and disjointed, an obvious large crossover event meant more for sales than anything else. I’m prolly going to end up skipping ahead to find the spider peeps I’m curious about.

Three things that made #intothespiderverse successful IMO:
1) Good writing
2) Great characters (which is basically good writing)
3) A story that makes sense and isn't just an obvious cliche that's been done to death (which is also just... Good writing)I love the art. It's groundbreaking and incredible. But we've all seen 10 amazingly beautiful, visually groundbreaking movies that sucked. Because of not good writing.
It's almost like Hollywood should PAY WRITERS.
