Another winter-flowering grevillea doing well this year in the garden after a hard prune last year is the G. banksii prostrate form.

This form only grows to about 30cm tall and spreads to well over 2m wide creating a striking groundcover or cascading feature (mine is on the edge of a raised rockery bed and spreads out over the edge of the wall).

Rarely see either this or the regular small tree form of this variable species in nurseries down my way - but occasionally can get the even more compact prostrate form sold as 'Ruby Red'. This is also a great plant - I have one in the garden but it is currently 'under renovation' and not flowering at all.
