When my brother-in-law Kit and I were working on a big construction site, he would stand on the steps each morning, scan the sky for rain clouds and recite the workers mantra, saying, ‘send her down Hughie, we’re on by the hour’. My son was at primary school at the time and when a teacher asked the kids what religions they knew about.
