"Why CRISPR babies are still too risky — embryo studies highlight challenges: While society grapples with the social and ethical implications of heritable genome editing, technical obstacles still abound."
Unpredictable deletions and insertions, loss of large parts of chromosomes are some of the errors researchers have observed. While they say research should continue, it's currently very unsafe to use these methods medically.

#HGESummit Bingo. There were apparently a few "designer babies" protestors at the event this morning but otherwise quiet. Since I was sleeping, I sure hope the initial sessions will be available on video later.
