  1. Improving passenger #transport#Hertfordshire #Essex Rapid #Transit (HERT) is a proposed sustainable east–west network to improve connectivity across Hertfordshire. It would carry more people than cars and offer faster, more reliable journeys than conventional buses, linking towns, rail stations and growth areas.

After reviewing options including rail and bus rapid transit, a trackless tram has been selected as the preferred mode due to its capacity, flexibility, lower cost and quicker delivery.

The scheme aims to support economic growth, reduce congestion and emissions, and improve access to jobs and services through electric vehicles, walking and cycling links, and mobility hubs.

It will be delivered in phases using a ‘building block’ approach alongside bus improvements, with no fixed completion date. Public engagement and events are planned for May 2026 across Hertfordshire.

  4. Went for a #bike ride in the #Hertfordshire countryside and thought I'd been transported to Belgium. Fab old windmill

  5. Alleged 'phantom monk' photographed by antiquarian T W Latchmore at Minsden Chapel, #Hertfordshire, in 1907. It's no-one I know and looks like a lump of masonry to me, but I imagine Mr Latchmore would know the difference. #PhantomsFriday #ghosts #ghostphoto #paranormal #Edwardian

  6. Finally getting into the greenhouse to sow seeds. Everything's going to be a bit delayed this year!

  7. Anyone looking for a Covid/virus-conscious flatmate/lodger? Ideally East Anglia/London. Unfortunately allergic to cats. Happy to provide more information on request. Please boost for visibility. Any hashtags I should use?

  8. A combination of #cocaine , prescription #drugs and most likely sleep deprivation after heavy weekend led to a #motorist in #Hertfordshire rear ending the car in front on the A1M highway and seriously injuring a 6 year old boy as well as endangering his own family (which he was driving home!)

He got 20 months #prison (even after guilty plea at Crown #Court). Appears to have no previous criminal record, nor any other social media traffic that hints at reckless behaviour, but its *extremely* unlikely a 42 year old man *starts* taking drugs at his age.

Probably another 90s / 00s hedonist who *thought* he could get away with the old lifestyle choices (until one day it turns out you can't)
