It was a bit tricky to figure where to fit last week’s #GuyKlucevsek episode of @accordionnoir radio into this arbitrary system

After my #ListeningClub selection we did an almost two-hour “best of” set of his work on radio

But was that “Concert/classical”? or “Jazz/Blues”? or even “Folk influenced”? 🤔

Not that it matters. It’s all “Special Interest” (not popular music) so the #CanCon requirements are lower. Good since Guy is not Canadian ❤️‍🔥🪗

I thought about playing a record by him but then #GuyKlucevsek died too the same week and the Accordion Tribe record has long been such a favourite it had to be that

I guess he was big in the “new music” scene there. Played for a lot of dancers?

He’s on some Bill Frisell and John Zorn records. There’s a pretty piece on one of Robin Holcomb’s records she wrote for him, but he had to say it didn’t fit the instrument

Wish I could have asked him just how. I talked to him but can’t remember if that came up
