Pauline Oliveros, USA 1932-2016. Compositrice, accordéoniste, expérimentatrice. Elle a explosé les frontières qui définissaient l'usage de l'accordéon, en l'associant notamment avec l'utilisation des bandes magnétiques, de l'électronique...et la manière d'écouter. Elle parle de 'deep listening'.

I think of Eno’s records as ur-text #ambient album covers

With the abstract and simple text, or the clean box

As an alternative I always thought my friend @thirdpearl’s bent light photos (with no photoshop) would work great for covers and was very happy one got picked for a #PaulineOliveros reissue

She could have done a whole series of ambient CDs back in the 90s I’m sure

Her career was so long I keep hearing about pieces and whole eras I was unaware of

This book about her years in San Diego totally surprised me (I was there in jr high school and it might have changed my life’s direction if I’d known)
