Über diese Anwendung zum Mietvergleich für Bestandsmieten werde ich am Donnerstag in Berlin auf der #niam2026 Konferenz für Kartographie sprechen (wird via @c3voc gestreamt). Es geht auch um den Schutz von Individualdaten und der Kommunikation welche Gebiete nicht vergleichbar sind. Schließlich die Umsetzung mit der freien Software #gridviz von #eurostat

New in #gridviz 2.0.49: Background map and blend modes. It is now possible to specify something like:

alpha: 0.75,
blendOperation: "multiply"

at style or layer definition level. - thanks @julgaf

There’s a lot of discussion in Germany on how we heat our homes. Here are 2.7 million pie charts in one map that show how. Every inhabited 100m grid cell is covered. While it is data from the 2011 census, it is not the newly built dwellings that pose a problem. To prioritise action, densely populated areas can be highlighted. Fernwärme-Nutzung am Beispiel Bremen Neue Vahr. Ergebnisse des Zensus 2011 für 100m Gitterzellen mit #GridViz visualisiert.
