Ce matin j'allais au boulot la souris entre les dents suite à un message le vendredi soit d'un pair technique qui racontait n'importe quoi sur l'accès des NSD sur #SpectrumScale / #GPFS
Et là, miracle, il avait lu mon message et reconnu qu'il avait sauté une partie d'un rapport :blob_wolf_melt:
Donc rappel, l'ordre des serveurs NSD n'a AUCUN SENS dans un contexte d'attachement direct !
Bonus : j'ai convaincu mon équipe d'appeler le sprint "Dora l'exploratrice"

Apparently GPFS presents as "local" filesystems in a "df --local". This...is a problem when you have several multi-petabye GPFS volumes mounted, and something uses that df command to determine what to run find on...

Great nuggets in the latest #storage news ticker (https://blocksandfiles.com/2022/12/31/storage-news-ticker-31-dec-2022/). TIL:

1. #GPFS now has containerized clients for k8s - neat

2. Shipped _capacity_ CAGR for #tape thru 2027 is 21%, but actual revenue not so rosy. 80% of that is #LTO; remainder is 3592.

3. #YMTC was far enough in native Chinese NAND manufacture to win (then lose) a big deal with Apple. #Samsung picked up the contract, large enough to hike global prices by 10%.
