It was TEN scoreless innings and tied for longest game. You don’t get to that without a valiant effort from both teams playing excellent #baseball. But you’d never know it from the way the official MLB accounts talk about it. Seems to them that the only team that matters is the Dodgers.
As an Eagles supporter in recent Superbowls this feels familiar.

One thing about living in Hawai’i is that we all have our windows open so I can hear everyone watching the game. I’m also in pretty deep Dodgers territory out here… so I knew the game was over a few seconds before Mastodon caught up.

All done. About 5.5 hours of juicing and canning about 80lbs of grapes.
Lifting the bin was the least good part… before or after!
But the house smells great and we have a nice stash of juice to go with our collection over the past few years.
Hope you enjoyed the thread. If you’re wondering, the juicer is my parent’s who got it from Lee Valley online. It’s the best!

Winding down.
Only three jars left including the one being filled. I exhausted my supply of 19 wide mouth jars and am into the four narrow ones.
The last of the grapes are now into the boiler. The fresh bin is empty and outside before the fruit flies got crazy and the leavings bin is filling with warm and fragrant leavings.
A successful night. I sometimes make double this amount, even from a similar amount of grapes. But the small number of jars means I cycled through the grapes more quickly. I think that will mean a sweeter juice, less tannins from the skins, but we’ll see. It looks great!
And I have heard the satisfying POP as some of the jars seal.
