Turner Classic Movies is running classic horror (and just creepy) movies all day today.
I'd like to highlight these from around 100 years ago 😬:
🔸 The Mystic 1925
🔸 West of Zanzibar 1928 (based on Hayes-banned play, Lon Chaney vs. Lionel Barrymore, early synchronized soundtrack)
It amazes me that so many of the themes and tropes we know today filmmakers were using from the beginning.
Oh, and don't forget Godzilla 1955. Beginning of a somewhat popular franchise.
