@GerryT the website doesn't work for me anymore but it's feature complete and still in the repos. I'll still use it as long as it works.
There's also a flatpak which tells me it's being maintained by somebody at the Gnome project.
I hope it makes the transition to Gtk4 but even if not, it's not a show stopper. I continuously used gnome commander over the years even when it seemed abandoned.
