What a bunch of hypocrites (#Labor #LNP parties)… let’s all be anti-nuclear wars but bugger the non proliferation treay (#NPT) we’ve committed to if there’s a commercial deal to be made. There’s a reason why #India is not an NFT signatory and it’s not because it doesn’t like #Inspections of nuclear facilities. It has to do with #Pakistan (also no a signatory) and the nuclear threat it represents. And even if it is likely that India will abide by its commitment, it just frees up the uranium they get from other sources from non-weapons programmes to be diverted to military use. So, yes, one way or another, #Australia will contribute to weaponised uranium in India. Well done ! Bunch of #NeoLiberal lapdogs. No doubt the #MiningSector Lobby (and #Gina?) has the govt’s ear.

There’s nothing like holding up a mirror to society, and #CathyWilcox does a better job of it than most cartoonists IMO.
Love this one — as scary as it is. Tbf, not all Australians are that bloody stupid but there are more than enough who are to cause me real concern here. We need a couple of #AntiGina #millionaires to splash some cash into public campaigns to wake voters up to the mess we’re in and how to get out of it.

Kos may be on to something with his thesis, but the article is tiring to read (to me at least) because it reinforces what I truly believe: that much of the electorate is composed of dull-witted, non-thinkers longing for a romanticised past that can never be re-lived (the past is past FFS).
And instead of looking forward, thinking about how to get beyond our current woes, how to refashion our political and economic systems to give all of us a better chance of survival and a better life, these utter twits are delivering themselves and the rest of us to more of the same shit that destroyed their past. What a bunch of fucks!
I no small a measure, I also blame most Journos for platforming all the wrong individuals who couldn’t give a toss about you and I and will fuck us around for decades to come (accelerating our ecological annihilation) if they get into govt. My msg to Boomers and Xers is: Get a grip, Stop whinning and do something remotely intelligent and constructive for a change. Waking people up to this is where Journos would be more useful IMO — don’t tell us why we’re in the shit, tell us how to get out of the mess we’re in for goodness sake.

A lonely start
I was at my parent's place for New Years. Just after midnight, I went outside with my mum. We watched some fireworks, which was nice and all. But, as I was watching, I felt overwhelmed by a sudden feeling of loneliness. As I gathered my things to head home again, I felt like it was the saddest start of the new year I've ever experienced... I was alone in Skoosh, driving home, to be there... On my own... Arwen passed away 181 days ago, on Jan 1st that was, and when this gets shared, she will have been gone for exactly 6 months. But it still feels like yesterday when I had to say goodbye to her... 😢 This should be getitng easier, or so people say... But, my life... It resolved so much around Arwen, and her needs and wants, that I just feel like I lost my "purpose" when she passed away. If all goes well, in about 3 weeks, I will know if Gentle is pregnant, if there may be another gall coming for me... But until then... It's just lonely me, missing my gall so much... […] -
