    If you use the GGNRA areas (see map link below), here's a chance to meet NPS Superintendent David Smith at "Office Hours with the Superintendent" at 11 - noon Sat, May 16 at the Presidio Visitor Center (210 Lincoln Blvd in the Presidio)

    This meeting's focus is Park safety (but I suspect there'll be opportunity to ask about other items.

    I've been luck to hear the Superintendent speak -and am impressed. if you care about the local National Parks, this is worth attending.

    The only annoying thing about going to the Marin Headlands on a beautiful day is that it attracts scofflaws drone pilots. Nobody wants their hike to be spoiled by the aggravating noise of a drone overhead, nobody. Happened twice to me today.

    It was a beautiful day to hike the Marin Headlands. Almost t-shirt weather just days before the winter solstice. Had to turn back earlier than normal since it is still getting dark before 5PM, which seemed to disappoint @luna.
