  1. Here's this morning's #gelli plate experiment. I laid down some translucent yellow and green paint and applied various textures before pulling to leave just a small amount of paint. Then I used a metallic dark gray color and laid a black-and-white laser print on it. I pulled that one off to leave behind a faint image and then pulled the entire print using plain white. It was a nice clean pull and I don't think it's bad for my first image transfer effort. It's a street photo from Savannah. #art?

  2. Today's #Gelli plate print exercise was to see if I could replicate paste paper. I can — and with a lot less mess.

Here are my three pulls in the order I pulled them. Translucent green and yellow with a wide comb (which I don't like) for the first wet pull. Translucent red and violet layered atop that with a skinnier comb for the second wet pull. (Bad colors.) And finally metallic gold with no texture layered atop that for the final, dry pull. I like the last one best. (1/2)

  3. I thought I shared this, but I guess I didn't. This is my best effort from yesterday's first experimentations with #gelli plate #printing. I took notes on the back of each print to explain what I did right and wrong and what kind of paper I used. There's a lot going on in this print, including the picking up of leftover paint from a previous print. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it sooner or later. At least I hope so. I'm hoping to use prints for future book covers and end papers. #MakeStuff
