In the tram department, Gdańsk has signed a contract with Pesa for what will be Poland's new longest trams, beating Kraków by tenths of a meter iirc. Jeśli chcemy naprawdę pomagać zwierzętom, potrzebujemy nie tylko empatii, ale też wiedzy.
W najbliższą niedzielę w Gdańskim Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej odbędzie się spotkanie wokół książki "Podstawowe pojęcia studiów nad zwierzętami" - publikacji, która pomaga lepiej zrozumieć nasze relacje ze zwierzętami i spojrzeć krytycznie na to, jak traktujemy inne czujące istoty.
Książka (wydana w ubiegłym roku przez Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego) zawiera artykuły poświęcone m.in. podmiotowości zwierząt, ich doświadczeniu, reprezentacji, ciału i krzywdzie.

Położona kilkaset metrów od Westerplatte. Jeśli ktoś ma możliwość ją odwiedzić to gorąco polecam. Klimat tam jest genialny - czuje się jak twierdza musiała funkcjonować w czasie swojej działalności. Byłem tam w ramach wydarzenia rekonstrukcji historycznej co dodatkowo zwiekszało efekty :)
