I'm in a paradox:
Adults don't want to listen / resist changing system that keeps 'life\ going.
Children can hardly implement change even if they wanted to under adult #power.
(Adults of various kind have such a lock on environment and future #generation that the 'change' is blocked by them and they are like #gatekeepers).

@ondra I'm not so sure about that (but also lack confirmation). The #DMA does not only mandate #DataPortability with other #gatekeepers but for "end users and third parties authorised by an end user, at their request and free of charge" (see Art. 6(9) and (10) DMA).
This sounds very much like an open standard or at least publicly documented #API to me.

The #EU is #investigating whether #AppleMaps and #AppleAds should be designated as “#gatekeepers” under the #DMA. Let's make it clear; this is just another attempt at controlling the Android ecosystem, even after the #EU has struck down on #gatekeepers.
A similar example was when Microsoft had a monopoly (and still to some extent does) over SecureBoot PKI certificates. In essence the vendor selling you a platform also gets to rule said platform - with an iron fist.

It felt like kindergarten to do it but this week we @edri +others filed a complaint against #Google with the @EUCommission for breach of the #DigitalMarketsAct.
Despite the #DMA's clear obligation for #gatekeepers to allow you to uninstall pre-installed apps, #Alphabet claims this can also mean disabling. Yes seriously.
So we wrote a 7-page explanation why disable ≠ uninstall.
The complaint was filed together with @article19, @fsfe, @Freiheitsrechte, @HomoDigitalisGR and @vrijschrift 🙏
