@standardebooks Please do not use Tinyurl or similar tools for encoding/shortening URL's in the #Fediverse.  Many of us do not want to be tracked on here...part of what makes the Fediverse amazing is getting from all the corporate, analytics, telemetry, and such stuff.  Also, it obfuscates the destination of the URL, make it less trustworthy. Additionally, it may be an accessibility issue (but since I'm not an expert on this topic, I'll let someone more knowledgeable chime in on this point).

This is somewhat of a best practice in the in #Fediverse.

Als #Newsjunky hätte ich gern ein datensparsames Newsportal. Sogar meine Favoriten https://www.ard-text.de/mobil/100 und https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/nachrichten-100.html haben EIN Tracking mit drin. Nur eines, aber das ist schon zu viel.
Mit #Nextcloud habe ich via #RSS Feed für #Nachrichten gebastelt, aber nett wäre ein #Newsportal das direkt ohne #Tracking läuft. Gibt es das oder nur ein ein Traum?

Wracając do mojego filmu z setupem degoogle / deapple – chciałbym napisać o nim coś więcej.

Po wielu dniach testowania i szukania kompromisów – w końcu mam konfigurację, z którą żyję na co dzień. Staram się łączyć FOSS z realiami iOS. Nazywam to „pragmatycznym puryzmem”.

Odciąłem iCloud, usunąłem domyślne aplikacje (nie tylko schowałem), wyłączyłem Siri, Apple Intelligence, dostęp do lokalizacji dla aplikacji, śledzenie i spersonalizowane reklamy.

Co myślicie? Co byście dorzucili albo zmienili? Chętnie poczytam uwagi.

A belső privát #Pixelfed migráció is megtörtént a NAS-omról ugyanerre a szerverre, amin ez a #Mastodon #instance is működik, amit csak ketten használunk a saját privát emlékgyűjteményünkként.
(Nem mondom, hogy nagy munka volt kigyomlálni belőle a federációs hajlamot, de sajnos a Pixelfedben ez nem egy gombnyomás, szóval sokáig nagyon paranoid módon ellenőrizgettem, hogy valahol nincs-e mégis federációs adatszivárágs belőle.)

Amint támogatva lesz a natív mobilos alkalmazásban is a több felhasználós működés, vélhetően abból is lesz publikus saját verzióm is, hogy a publikumnak szánt emlékeim elérhetőek, de mégis általam kontrollálhatóak legyenek.

Sosem hátrány, ha az ember talál alkalmas vasat és hozzá megfelelő, legalábbis két-három felhasználó számára elég sávszéllel rendelkező szolgáltatót, hogy a saját kis homelabját üzemeltesse.

Jelenleg már fenn van a #JellyFin, #Nextcloud, #Pixelfed, ez és egy #privát Mastodon szerver, #Immich, #API végpont, #Pangolin és még sok-sok szolgáltatás, amihez nem hátrány, ha nem egy csóró falusi nettel üzemelteti az ember.

Gondoltam fizikai szerver hostingon is. De, azt már tényleg akkor, amikor fizetés emelés lesz. Sok pénzen meg egy a #geek hobbimra, nem kell még ennél is több egyelőre.

Sok ember nem érti, hogy ez miért szép és miért jó. De ebben sincs baj. Én például nem értem mi a jó a fociban, de pont azért, mert nem értek a focihoz. Ők nem értenek ehhez. Nem vagyunk egyformák. :)

But I’m a little optimistic that at least the harsh addictive algorythms get banned so that the networks get more open.

Absolutely love it… Just gave the middle finger to Google and their privacy invasive practices with YouTube. How’d I do it? Used Podman, Yattee/Yattee Server and Invidious plus TailScale to run a privacy-preserving proxy that hopefully will slam the door on the adds and tracking that I’d normally have to deal with, and I will no longer hopefully have to fork over the dinero to Google for YouTube Premium.
