Finished the cushion storage for the #GardenProject . Mostly scrap and reclaimed wood. Finished it to match the fence panel. Pleased how it turned out. [Edit: added hashtags]

Next step in #GardenProject is to build a seat cushion store where the old firewood store and a raised planter were.

An update on the pergola.A bit more style and more detail on the post supports.
Joists referencing the garage wall will be fixed to it with galvanised steel brackets.
The central area near the garage wall, where the joists are shortened is where the chimney of our chiminea will be.

This small column of bricks is one of four that comprise column supports for a pergola.
I didn't want to penetrate the patio to sink posts to support a pergola so decided to make the posts simply sit on the patio.
Naturally I need the posts to stay where I put them and to avoid point loading that might damage flags on the patio so I'm anchoring each post to a small column of blue bricks, each capped by a small square of India stone flagging and a post socket.
At the very bottom is a sheet of closed cell foam (10mm thk) Then a 1.6mm thk galvanised plate with plunged holes, tapped M10. Threaded rods M10, lock nutted to the plate, constrain the bricks between socket and plate so the whole assembly is free to find its own position on the patio without stressing the brick joints.

Rain stopped play, but some progress. Found two little holes just below the rim of the pond, so can't fill up until solved. Any ideas anyone? I was thinking plumbers putty? #LeakyPondProblems #GardenProject

Hope to get the other trellis attached and the pond filled tomorrow. White bungalow walls on right, with black trellis on wall with small black pond underneath (not yet filled!) Chunky post with rope to another post (out of shot), flower bed. Gravel path leading to newly painted raised bed. #GardenProject
