Okay I know this is a 6 month old video, but I just saw it and I now feel like removing all traditional publication type outlets from my sources of news. Anyone care to share one way or another?

GamerGate 2's been a shitshow of lies, brigading, and death threats on both sides of the isle. Both sides have bad actors manipulating their audience.
IGN really really wants to harvest the GamerGate ragebait to earn hate-clicks. Calling Frieren and Delicious in Dungeon 'Isekai' is 100% designed to get people talking about IGN. And it's no surprise that the author was ex-Kotaku staff.
Isekai may 'mean' another world by direct translation, but it implies there's an IRL and that other world. Fantasy may overlap with isekai only if there is movement between them. It's right there on JAPANESE Wikipedia... Getting an actual Japanese influencer to misinterpret the meaning to support your statement to dunk on people is 100% rage-baiting.
