@Doomed_Daniel Sorry Daniel. I'm not familiar enough with the actual historical events of the "gamergate" reference to understand what you're asking me (let alone answer it).
But my main take-away from the video, and the main reason for my original post, is that traditional journalism publications covering the games industry, *for whatever reason*, seem to be injecting stuff that is not game/gameplay related into their writings in order to change gamers into whatever it is they think we should be.

It is not extremely hopeful, but I do love (and agree with) the conclusion :
