Aside from occasionally spotting a cardinal or blue jay and the pigeons in St. Mark's Square, I've largely been oblivious. In 2020, my love for photography and the bird world collided, and, my beginner's luck found one of the oddest birds I've seen to date, a baby scarlet tanager!
