  1. "Trump's MAGA movement is plotting to steal the election with a fake emergency. This is an election coup, a direct attack on freedom and democracy. The vast majority of Americans oppose this — and will do so in the streets if necessary."

  2. "With so much bad news these days, it’s easy to adopt defeatist thinking. Trump has sent troops into US cities, deployed ICE Gestapo goons to kidnap immigrants, and threatened to jail Democratic politicians. It’s natural to respond to these developments with fear."

  3. “But Trump quickly turned on Comey. The president was upset by the FBI's continued investigation into Russian interference in the election. And he was enraged when he demanded that Comey pledge personal loyalty to him and Comey refused.”

  7. “Successful frames do more than describe reality. They help us understand it by activating the right neural pathways. TACO works because it connects to something we already know: bullies are usually weaklings in disguise. The frame makes the pattern visible and memorable.”

  8. "Democrats must tell Americans what is happening and show spirit and moral resolve. Capitulation is complicity, and if we’re not careful, Republicans will use their disinformation weapons to blame Democrats for any pain caused by the destruction of government."

  9. No shortage of content on this topic, but this one from @gilduran w/ #framelab has one of the more incisive analyses.

  11. #FrameLab is an amazing pod about better understanding how so many are so stuck in polarizing opinions. Particularly focus is on USA politics and what the differences are for GOP and DNC voters.

For me, every episode makes me understand things a bit better, sometimes a lot. Linguistic professor @georgelakoff, cofounder of the pod, explains things very understandable.

They will now ramp up publishing episodes due to the US election in November.

    I highly recommend it.

  12. What the Media can do to stop #Trump

Ban repeat liars from live interviews
Never put a lie in the headline
Use a truth sandwich when reporting on lies
Don’t take the bait (stop rewarding drama with visibility)
Abandon the social media algorithm (don’t let Xitter dictate the news cycle)

  13. Por qué nunca ganarás a los #trolls

¿Cómo contrarrestar a los trolls en Internet si se supone que no debemos contestarles?

    1) No te metas.
