Another Council told me that the fees for carrying out the search for records is estimated at €380.

They have not explained why or how they estimate that (as required by law).

And they are requesting a "deposit" of €190 - a full half of the total - and will not proceed any further with the response until that's paid.

So, I will be appealing their decision as to fees, of course.
