I'm not good at mending, I don't have the patience for it.

I'm even worse at invisible mending. Se exhibit A.

Here the added challenge was that the problem section was reverse stockinette stitch. While I'm fairly comfortable in double stitching on a stockinette surface it works far less well on the other side so it looks actually better on the inside - duh.
