I’m now making small pentatonic #bamboo flutes, thinking of children or others who play little or no music but enjoy making nice sounds from time to time.
Lowest note: A6 ⇒ Very small (20cm).

The bamboo is sanded and oiled. It actually looks nicer that way.
I’ve gone for a fipple mouthpiece, but a straight one (I don't know how it should be called), with the widow facing you, opposite the finger holes. Apparently, this type of mouthpiece is typical of Eastern European flutes. Well, precisely… 😏
