Zack Gibson’s debut single Figure It Out out September 4
Zack Gibson is a 17‑year‑old Scottish singer‑songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist from Broughty Ferry, Dundee, quickly emerging as one of the most promising young artists in Scotland’s new wave of acoustic pop talent. Writing on both guitar and piano, Zack blends heartfelt storytelling with clean, melodic songwriting, crafting songs that feel both intimate and instantly memorable. He will release his vibey debut single “Figure It Out” on 4th September 2026.
A multi‑instrumentalist on guitar and piano, Zack writes with a maturity far beyond his years – drawing on real experiences, youthful vulnerability and a natural storyteller’s touch. His sound sits comfortably in the lineage of Lewis Capaldi and Gerry Cinnamon, yet carries a fresh, modern edge that is unmistakably his own.

Zack went on to secure support slots on Falconer’s Scottish tours, gaining valuable early live experience. He has also supported Cammy Barnes, taking to the stage in Aberdeen and proving he could hold his own alongside one of Scotland’s rising folk‑pop voices.
Active across Scotland’s live music circuit, Zack has built a reputation for authentic, emotionally honest performances at regional venues and events including Lomond Unplugged. In 2026, he made an early international impact with performances at MiCannes Music Festival, showcasing his talent on a global stage before even releasing a full body of work. More recently, Zack has been asked to support The Bootleg Beatles – fans can catch him on 11th September at Livehouse Dundee (details below).
Zack’s vibrant debut single “Figure It Out” drops on 4th September and explores rising above insecurities and life’s slings and arrows. Zack says: “The song is about not letting things get you down and choosing your own path, even when there are struggles along the way. It started with just a few chords that Kyle and I were playing around with, and from there it grew into one of the biggest and most upbeat songs on the album.”
In 2026, Zack’s career took a major step forward when he was added to the roster of Riverman Bangkok: the management team behind rock legends Placebo and other internationally recognised artists – which in turn led to him being taken on by the Future Sonic Collective promotions team.

Since AEA isn't approving my comment which (professionally even!) called the post into question, I'll be blunt.
Everything in the post below shows
a) the authors have terrible evaluative thinking and practice
and
b) have almost no clue what "AI" is/does/means.
Just clowns, all the way down.

And yes, it is a choice! So tiring and disappointing, even tho I'm just scrolling past, blocking, or deleting nonsense at this point. It's all just so loud and takes up so much space.

Please...informal learning, library, museum, zoo, aquarium, historical site, science center folks:
Invest in the personnel, effort, and time to thoroughly develop not only your goals, outcomes, and processes, but the implications of them - all of this reveals your values.
Relatedly, stop putting this (rarely done) work on grant writers and/or interns.

It really is stunning how some evaluators are sprinting to use and promote salamis "AI." Then again, when I reflect on the field and the people involved, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
When I called some of his specific claims into question as well as foundational issues, the author of a promo piece just suggested another.
Folks in evaluation are wasting a tremendous amount of time and effort on something that introduces more distance and confusion.
