Am 1.3.22 sank die #FelicityAce nach einem Brand im Atlantik. Der Frachter hatte 4.000 Autos und #EAuto|s der #VW Gruppe (#Audi, #Porsche) geladen.

Catastrophic fires onboard car carrying vessels occur more frequently than you might think.
The reason you haven’t heard about the following fires is that they didn’t involve electric vehicles:
- February 2017, the MV Honor had a upper vehicle deck fire caused by a starter motor solenoid.
- March 2018, the Grande America capsized following a fire started by a vehicle.
- May 2018, the Auto Banner had an overheated vehicle leading to fire.
- December 2018, the Sincerity Ace went up in smoke with the loss of five crew lives.
- June 2019, the Diamond Highway, carrying 6300 vehicles, was abandoned due to fire.
