In an 1862 letter, German immigrant Franz Xaver #Guth mentions an Anna #Fehrenbach, who apparently lived in the state of #NewYork back then, namely in a place, he wrote "Roedant". Does anyone have a clue, where that place might have been?

Today's #grandma recording told the story of three sons of Karl #Fehrenbach https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fehrenbach-220, who died in #WorldWarII. Unfortunately there was a bit of confusion: She said Otto was killed at Crimea, but that was Rudolf. She also said, that Anton was on front vacation and did some haying for his father/uncle, about two weeks, before he was killed. That is another warning, to always check the records in parallel, because in fact, he was killed in November ...
