- received scans to military lists from 1662 from my favorite professional genealogist
- bought a pool for the outside #birds - it's actually the "saucer" of a big flower pot and was very cheap -
Finally managed transcribe the emigration papers of Leopold #Guth from #Simonswald and to add part of the transcript and a summary to his #WikiTree profile. It would need a lot more work, e.g. turning the research notes into parts of the biography, but for today it has to be good enough.

- cousin from South Africa sent me a German will from 1912, which she can't read
- preciously unknown US #Guth cousin will come to our corner of Black Forest next year -
In another #grandma recording, she told the story of Hermann #Guth https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Heim-760 , a sibling of her first husband's mother: He had to cut grass for their two cows on the hill regularly. One day, he brought the scythe ("Sense") home, which he would never do. He said to his surprise wife, that he felt like he didn't need it there anymore. That was the day, when he passed away.

In an 1862 letter, German immigrant Franz Xaver #Guth mentions an Anna #Fehrenbach, who apparently lived in the state of #NewYork back then, namely in a place, he wrote "Roedant". Does anyone have a clue, where that place might have been?

Wrote a #WikiTree profile for Franz #Ament/ #Amend - the guy, who was on the same emigrant ship as the sister of my great-great grandfather Johann Baptist #Guth and who carried the same name as her husband. He apparently grew big pumpkins and had a pet pig (photo!)

OK, I saw enough of your "annoying" toots to try it out, @ancestorian. I created a #Guth / #Guth surname group to see if it attracts anyone. Was shocked about the amount of adds until I saw that it's a community effort.
