Godfather is one of the greatest movies of all time, for exploring Michael's character arc. He starts out not wanting to be in the "family business" or like the rest of the family, and start a different life. But circumstances -- being the only person in a position to act and feeling a family duty to do so after the attempt on Vito's life, and then being traumatized and hardened by the death of Apollonia -- draw him into it. And the more he gets drawn into it, the more he's forced to follow the logic of that path, and it becomes addictive for him. In Godfather 2 he continues to follow that path deeper and deeper into its amoral logic, and then in Part 3 he attempts to redeem himself but loses everything as a consequence of his past choices. It's a textbook tragedy out of Euripides or Sophocles.
Gilmore Girls is just fun, but the dynamic between Lorelai and Rory and all the quirky characters are a delight to watch. -

I’ve always loved reading Garfield comics, and the 80s-90s TV show was a staple of morning cartoons. Never failed to entertain.
