#fascist_usa I took extra walks today, trying to lose the sense of dread and disgust that the Venezuela action invoked. I do my yard and house chores, I have breakfast. I doom scroll and see, every day, the widening collapse of the post WWII order, increasingly fragile due to unaddressed problems, particularly in the former USA, which has not progressively tended to the needs of its population since the JFK assassination and the LBJ fall into the sinkhole of Vietnam, leading to the counter-revolution of Nixon, the ;’Southern Strategy’ and the strangling of popular movements. It’s been coming on for a long time, and I have watched it without being able to change it in any way. I watch from my hill, the change of light, the sweep of sky and count myself fortunate. I hope ‘the stars in their courses do fight on our side’ as we need all the help we can get. It’s the coffee & cookie hour as the sky fades to black and uncertainty stalks sleep.
