#zCam, my beloved underdog camera brand for #livestream.
Nobody I talk to knows these Chinese cameras. They're not perfect, but they are so much more than many of the Japanese or American cameras I see.
I have two #zCamE2 cameras that use the #MFT lens mount, and a #zCamP2R1 #PTZ which I am testing at the moment.
All Z Cam cameras are internally #Linux-based, or perhaps Android. They all can be fully controlled via web browser. The E2 is actually a cinema-level 4k camera. They are inexpensive. They are reliable. They can be controlled via Bitfocus Companion. The E2 comes with an iPad app that turns any semi-old iPad into a field monitor for free, including false color display, focus peaking, histograms, touch-to-focus.
It's a bit sad though that the Z Cam #Multiview app does not run in #Wine. It's yet another killer tool in the Z Cam universe when you're not streaming but recording multi-camera… one machine, one network, all camera images on one screen.
