I'm not too familiar with Evanescence other than their big hit "Bring Me Back to Life". I don't think I've ever listened to any of their albums. I listened to their new album, "Sanctuary" because it kept popping up and the singer just looks powerful af on the cover. Damn, it's really good. She's got an amazing voice. The music has elements of rock, metal, goth, and dark electronica. Every song is good somehow.

10/10 all bangers no skips
So much better than their last album and thank fucking god for that. All the good stuff is back and even the experimental vibes from their really early spooky industrial days are here. My favorite changes every time I listen 😭 I think right now it's Rapture but I'm bouncing between About Us and Self Destruct too. youtu.be/xWDFSkPX5EY?si=Ke4kCKccd4n4B5j6
My only real criticism is that since it's pretty much front-to-back a Fuck Trump album, a lot of the lyrics are kinda samey, which is probably why I'm currently more drawn to the songs that are more about religious deconstruction. Here for the aggression tho!! Get his ass! -
