Maybe #ethical arguments aren't enough to "win people over" to #FOSS. But that doesn't mean ethics should be omitted altogether in FOSS advocacy - like it has in most tech & FOSS bro corners of the world. For example, those cringeworthy "Linux challenges" rarely mention anything at all about _why_ FOSS OS's (sometimes) don't work as #proprietary dittos, i.e. it's not (necessarily) about badly developed FOSS systems, but rather the horrible ethics of #proprietary #BigTech.
