Got a bottle of #Escubac largely because of this book, Lexikon Der Getranke, published in Germany in 1913. This is one crazy & incredibly informative book, too much to fully describe in a toot. You find out that Bols made a Staughtons Bitters, Green & Yellow Angelica liqueurs, and an Escubac, & what was made from them. Presented as a dictionary, but serves as a cocktail recipe book, formulary and brand directory. 24 recipes alone call for Escubac!
