Phantasmal Poison Frog (Wild Animals by Papo)

The phantasmal poison frog (Epipedobates bicolor) is native to the Andean slopes of central Ecuador, where it typically dwells in leaf litter near streams of tropical dry forests. It is sometimes appropriately called the candy cane frog due to its coloration. Like other poison frogs, they feed mainly on small insects.

Eine neue Art hält Einzug in das CC-Portfolio! Der Dreistreifen-Baumsteiger (Epipedobates tricolor) galt einst als weit verbreitete Art in Terrarien. 2004 stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass es sich tatsächlich um eine andere Art handelte, nämlich Epipedobates anthonyi.

A new species joins the CC portfolio! The Phantasmal Poison Frog (Epipedobates tricolor) was once considered a widespread species in terrariums. In 2004, however, it turned out that it was actually a different species, i.e. Epipedobates anthonyi.
