After living as children in the water, the subimago flies free into the air and finds a secure place to land. There the insect will transform again. Breaking free from the subimago exoskeleton it steps forward into its final adult form. Those first pairs of wings were needed to get out into the world, but the final adult form has much more to do. Perhaps a fitting analogy for the #TwitterMigration?
