A killer volunteer workday yesterday - one of those 'too' days - over 8,000 steps, ~7.3 kilometers, and way too much stress on the new knee. Still working to prep for the annual picnic at the Nature Center, still much to do. Attached an old brush hog (built for a 55hp tractor) to the new tractor (75hp) to clear invasives in the meadow - I hope it survived. In dumps economy, the suppliers cannot get the raw materials to build the new brush hog for the tractor (delay has been 3 months and counting).
With migration in full swing, hearing new voices in the woods and seeing some new sparrows. The White Throated Sparrows showed up and made it to the Rare Birds Alert. They overwinter with us, and are a joy to watch.
