Here's another shot of my dark scholar Zhakarii, this time from Ratte( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/ratte/ ). In this one she's showing off some of her combat skills.
The blue beam is her primary offensive spell, often seen in a corrupted form from Hermaeus Mora's faithful; a blast of pure magicka, focused with psijiic techniques into a coherent beam.
Her necromancer skills are in evidence too, in the form of the bone armor on her back that uses abjuration to ward off blows, and draws in distant enemies trying to evade her beam.
The only thing missing is her Namira-derived shadow magic that she gained access to through her partial dro-m'athra transformation. With that, she can instinctually call in minions from the Dark Behind the World, cloak herself in shadow to remain unseen, or simply awaken the shadows in nearby foes' minds to frighten them into inaction.
She has also learned over time how to use it to enhance other spells. One common trick she uses, which was inspired by an encounter with one of Mora's Arcanists, is to momentarily call forth tentacles of shadow and infuse them with a psijiic enchantment of weakness. This causes those they strike to be more vulnerable to her attacks for a short while, and is much more reliable than attempting to apply said enchantment directly to her opponent.
Lastly, when magic alone won't do, she has her trusty battleaxe at hand to cleave down anything in her way. Claimed from a dro-m'athra opponent in years past, she find it surprisingly comfortable and easy to use, as if her changed nature allowed it to bond with her somehow.

I saw this in the Steam curators page and had a good laugh.
For the uninitiated; If you play modded and the game updates you'll have to wait for modloader updates. You can't version pin or rollback to a specific version. There have been no meaningful upgrades since forever yet updates are still being rolled out every now and then.

As mentioned before, she's a kind of "dark scholar" and has sought out many an artifact or antiquity she's learned of through her wanderings. At first, it was to find a way to save her lost "sister" Raksha-daro, who had fallen to the Bent Dance, but eventually she started to do it to sate her own curiosity. Especially after her own near-fall, and even more so after meeting another khajiit close to her heart, who had suffered a similar loss once upon a time. Helping him move on also helped her let go of what had happened so many years before.
Still, not all leads pan out. For example, this one did lead her to some ruins, but they were far too new to contain the object she had heard word of.

I played Skyrim today after a very long time of not touching it. I thought I could attack giants and reset the fight by running out of their reach when the fight was not going my way...
At least now I can know how high my character's corpse can fly when she gets killed by one charging into her at full speed from the other corner of the map :mastorofl: -
The desert breeze ran across the fountain pool like a lover's caress, barely disturbing the water as it caught the spray and brought it to the dark figure on the bench before it.
Black fur and dark clothes would have hidden this feline silhouette against the dark of night quite admirably, in normal circumstances. It was not the platinum blonde hair that gave her away though; rather it was the softly glowing mystical tattoos etched into her body and fur, plainly visible where they were not hidden by the leather straps of her chest wrap or the long-legged cloth breeches gracing her waist. Most striking, however, would be her glowing eyes, going from a light blue to a bright azure wherever her gaze was directed.
As she gave a soft sigh, gazing into the waters, she failed to notice the second figure approaching from behind, after passing through the wrought iron gate to the fountain's surroundings. This khajiit was not one the night would swallow, between his tiger-striped white fur and lighter clothes. The beads around his neck caught the glint of the twin moons above as his own glowing eyes looked towards the black-furred feline woman with concern.
"Is something the matter, tamiit?"
At first, the only response was a perking of the ears, but as the new arrival took a seat next to her, the black-furred khajiit lifted her gaze to look over towards him. "I had hoped when we restored this place that we would find at least some interested in the old ways, but none have come."
Her companion gave a slight nod, his expression softening. "The Dark Moon and my order is ancient history to most in this age. Even if only this age's moon-singers, your Twilight Cantors, can learn the ways, that is good enough. Azurah did not send me back for that, but sharing her blessings is something I am glad to do."
Looking away again, the black-furred khajiit leaned against her contrasting yet similar companion, resting her head against his shoulder. "But it's such a shame that we can't share it with others ourselves. So much gets lost and forgotten-"
That got a short laugh from the white-furred khajiit. "Var, var, var. Has that not been the path you walked before you found me? Finding things that others thought lost?"
"Not everything," she replied, her gaze lowering. Noting her reaction, the tiger-like khajiit rested his arm around her, giving her a gentle squeeze.
"You found me, my tamiit. And the twilight path we walk together."
At the squeeze, the feminine feline snuggled in closer to her larger companion. There was silence for a long time after.

With Elder Scrolls: Sentinel returning to the naming style of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall, and Sentinel being the city state across the water from Daggerfall, I think there's a hint that Elder Scrolls 6 will in some way be linked to Daggerfall.
Though not that it really matters, since it's a 2020s Bethesda game, so who cares...

So being a huge fan of #ElderScrolls lore I decided to pick up #OblivionRemastered and I've gotta say, it looks and runs great on my desktop. I'm downloading it on #SteamDeck and although it "says" verified, I'm going to keep my expectations in check. At max settings on my desktop though it looks amazing. The faces are much less cringe worthy and the lighting, despite the fact it's not HDR, just looks great.

I also love how #OblivionRemastered has continued the common #OblivionClassic #bug where exiting the game gives a error the game stopped working (because you know... you pressed quit). Although in true #remastered fashion "remastering" the old default Windows "Oblivion.exe stopped working" pop-up with an fancier Unreal Engine one. Gotta hit you right in the #nostalgia 🤣🤣🤣.

Peace and quiet is a rare commodity in the Arena of life called Tamriel. Often you're fighting for your life, or less commonly for the lives of others. Duties and responsibilties carry their own clarion call as well, and finding a moment when you can put that all aside, and just be is a great treasure in its own right. Even(or especially) among Argonians.
Here, surrounded by the soft song of the forest and cleansed by the pool's pure waters, Speaks was able to find one of those moments for herself. Before too long she'll have to rejoin the rest of the Mundus and deal with what waits for her, but for now she can simply... exist.

One of a gravesinger's many duties is to make sure corpses left to the swamp are properly tended to so they do not become bog blights, and to properly deal with any that do. Speaks's chukka-sei, the test and ritual among Argonians to earn your name, was in fact a mission to deal with them! This may not be that moment, but here in the shadow of a zanmeer, it certainly feels like it!

This is 2023's #Halloween piece of Speaks-With-Bones! I'm aiming to get one of these every year, though in this one it's less Speaks that's vibing with the spooky than our good old inky friend of the eyes and tentacles. This year's ESO chapter took us to Necrom and involved Speaks in a plot between Daedric princes on Mora's side, so he is currently pledged not to interfere with her own activities and devices until the situation is resolved. Doesn't mean he can't be show up and be intimidating however!
