Have not had these before: #Geastrum , a #fungus called #Earthstar . Probably a good sign of a healthy, #biodiverse #garden - always exciting to find something new. Not sure, which variety. Maybe someone can help.

Now, this is just a simplification of the problem. In reality, it's much more complex. Thankfully, the #Earthstar folks are super smart and know their stuff! But they are also working on keeping it simple for app developpers and everyday users. So that's nice!
In the end, we could have something as powerful as Google Doc, but completely decentralized! Without anyone spying on you data!

Every time I read about #Earthstar, I get super excited! It really looks like the future of #p2p and #localFirst data storage.
This time, they talk about their new permissions system.

Getting around to finishing the #earthstar project I started but never finished. It's been a while since I've worked on it but I think the biggest issue I was running into was that deno doesn't really support arm64 Linux very well, which is pretty weird all things considered 🤔

Great to see a meetup of #P2P projects funded by NGI pop up at P2P Basel 2023 (http://p2p-basel.org) - including #EarthStar, #Cabal, #P2Panda and of course #Manyverse. Jan 27-30th at the University of Basel (#unibas).
