Having now tried out both #Bitwarden and #Secrets (dot app), while neither is a perfect replacement for #1Password (because #Drop1Password) I think I am coming down on the side of Bitwarden for at least the short term.
Secrets' UX is a bit slicker…except for how its FF extension chose to do an extremely awkward dance with the GUI app instead of having something inline. Not a deal-breaker but a big red mark.
Secrets also lacks SSH key support; I /could/ go back to exporting privkeys to disk, but it'd be nice not to.
And the self-host potential of Bitwarden / #Vaultwarden is a compelling offramp in this "every company is a new opportunity to get rugpulled" world. Secrets is made by a small Apple-ecosystem design shop, who clearly do good work, but I'd be worried about a closure leaving the apps to eventually rot out of the App Store.

They're not portable between "security devices".
Say you're moving from @1password to @bitwarden because 1Password supports fascists who want to ethnically cleanse Europe.
Passkeys don't migrate, and going through all of your passwords, then logging into each site to delete the passkey is painful.
A nice long random password, plus TOTP/OTP/"Authenticator" codes are best.

Is it just me or does 1Password iOS immediately crash in the background when attempting to export data to another password manager? Export shows 0 items due to this crash.
Weird that this feature is broken now when people are rethinking their subscriptions 🤔

Trying to Export my wife's vault. We enter her password, click the Export button, which spins for a second, then reverts.
Upgrade to current version. Same results. Can't do it from the web interface either because fuck you? There's no option.
No error message, no vault export. Worked fine for me a couple days ago.
