The introduction of the compound "elephant light" in the very first sentence of Steven Appleby's Dragman is rather beautifully done, the inclusion of a saying and what people mean by it (=nothing :)) deserving special mention. And yes, AFAIK it is a completely new compound, though you get pictures of elephant-shaped lights if you search for the term :)
