As the cigarette industry hid the dangers of smoking, the plastics industry hid the ineffectiveness of recycling (<10% is recycled).
When plastics turn up along our roads, rivers and lakes, Pepsico said, "Consumers are more than capable of purchasing a beverage or snack product, consuming it, and placing the packaging in a recycling or waste bin"
In this instance, I agree! If you must buy plastics, dispose of properly!
