#TIL: A #Xen #Dom0 running #Debian 12 Bookworm or #Gentoo may crash xenconsoled or xenstored upon #DomU boot if the Dom0 initially has too much RAM:
kernel BUG at arch/x86/xen/p2m.c:542!
In my case it happened with #DebianBookworm's kernel 6.1.0-21-amd64 and in the case of https://bugs.gentoo.org/920747 (via https://lists.xenproject.org/archives/html/xen-users/2023-12/msg00005.html) it was Gentoo's 6.1.67-gentoo-x86_64, both with 64 GB.
Fix:
/etc/default/grub += GRUB_CMDLINE_XEN_DEFAULT="dom0_mem=1024M,max:1024M"
/etc/xen/xl.conf += autoballoon=0

#AMD Continues Work On Enhancing #GPU Support With #Xen #Virtualization
AMD posted patches as part of their start for adding #VirtIO GPU and passthrough GPU support for Xen. AMD has been working on this both for #HVM on #DomU and #PVH on Dom0 modes. Other patches from AMD for enhancing graphics support when making use of Xen, but again without a clear motivation why especially considering the dominance of KVM and less industry interest around Xen in more recent years.

@otakubinary yo no es que lea mucho manga, no suelo leer mucho, soy muy perro. mi "libro" favorito es el manual de instrucciones de la #yamaha mg08, mi primera mesa de mezclas.
aparte de eso, si que he llegado a leer #akira y #domu.
Anime, un poco mas. Me gusta #dragonball , #gantz, #bleach y siempre y cuando sea doblado, no soy fan del #fansub los subtitulos me distraen demasiado y me pierdo la imagen xD
