Does taking half a 2mg Estradiol Hemihydrate sublingual one in the morning once at night
And spiro 10 mg daily make sense?
Based on my reasearch it should.
Also what are some things i should think about before starting hrt?
I probably won't have access to blood testing so should i even go diy?
I def won't have access for a while but will it make it harder to get a prescription latter?
What are the risks compared with ocasional self medicading with stimulants?

I kniw this is alot of questions that i probably should be asking a doc but i cant. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Overly tired, overstimulated / overloaded, and struggling this evening, and doing the injection with 2 layers of hand supports (compression gloves and thumb splints), so it's little wonder it took us even longer to do and that our leg didn't want to let us pull the bleeping needle out! No blood when we finally managed it though, and no pain... though that may also be due to other meds we're on 😅

Why 6 mg instead of 5? Because we needed more estradiol for the coming week and fuck our gatekeeping NHS gender clinic 🖕

Didn't even feel the needle go in, or when we pushed down the syringe, or pulled it out. Did a triple check to make sure we'd actually injected. Teeniest dot of blood came out. Couldn't have asked for an easier or better injection 🩹 :TransButterfly: :NonBinaryButterfly: :TransFemHeart:

A few hours later than planned 😅

We did the injection just before midnight, so it still just about counts as being done on the correct day :SmugRelievedFace:

It was actually a pretty decent injection, considering we've been up since 0630 UTC, which was, erm, about, counts on fingers, fails, uses calculator, about 17.5 hours ago.

That may not sound like a long time ago for younger folks, but it's worth remembering that we're a burnt-out, 42-year-old, AuDHD mess, so the fact that we can type this right now is impressive...

... and entirely due to some choice medication choices earlier on 😅

No injection pain, but did seemingly hit a small capillary again, probably because we're so beyond tired, so had a bit of a slow bleed, but nothing a fabric plaster couldn't stop 🩹

Almost falling asleep (like barely staying awake, but worse), but need to keep going, so caffeine and sugar it is!!!

Pretty sure we hit near a nerve on the way in, but that's why we have the auto-stabber: it doesn't care and doesn't stop 😅

Tiny bit of blood on the way out, even after releasing the Z-track hold with the other hand, but definitely not a bleeder like last week.

Taking a 'pam a few hours back certainly definitely helped 😏🤭

Had a perfect stab with no pain or even discomfort. However, the moment we pulled the needle out, whooooooooooosh with the blood!

This is a really good reminder that even when you've been literally doing injections for years, you can and will sometimes get a bleeder.

It's why it's recommended to always have something on hand to stop the bleeding, as it'll quickly stop (barring you having issues with clotting or taking certain meds).

And always have your medical plaster (aka bandaid) ready to go 🩹

Now we're thinking of the Republica song of that name lol 🤭

Per usual, used the IM method we learnt from the Plume guide. Got a perfect spot tonight: no pain going in or out, despite us being emotionally and mentally exhausted. Teeny spot o' blood, but quickly wiped and covered with a medical plaster.

Did it to this EP by Mekaloton.

No joy out of doing the injection tonight though. No euphoria. Just... nothing.
